Lamine Yamal left the match against Atlético Madrid visibly frustrated, despite Barcelona securing a 2–1 win over the hosts.
According to Hansi Flick, the Barça No. 10 “tried everything,” and the Opta data backs that up, showing another statistically dominant performance from the teenage forward.
Yamal finished Saturday’s game as Barcelona’s leader in shots (7), chances created (5), successful dribbles (7), and crosses attempted (5).
He also ranked second in passes into the final third (31) and total touches (101), trailing only Pedri in both categories.

The La Masia graduate also recovered two possessions and drew three fouls, although he appeared to be fouled on several other occasions that referee Busquets Ferrer did not call.
Another clear indicator of Yamal’s influence was how heavily his teammates relied on him.
Opta’s passing networks show that six Barcelona players targeted him more than any other teammate: Dani Olmo (12 passes), Fermín (6), Robert Lewandowski (2), Jules Koundé (12), Pedri (19), and Ronald Araújo (9).
